[Please note by introvert I do not mean shy, nor anti-social] I’m not gonna over complicate this. Im a man in his mid 30s, happy in relationship. ‘Friends’… if you can call them that, lucky if I see em once a month or text from them. I work. All my interests, are not shared by other people in my life. Attempts to make these friends in person that share my deep passions have fantastically failed. Coworkers is not an option. I wonder is there something else I am missing? or is it to be like this until the end? Please make no mistake I accept either outcome. But on my end I am willing to make friends, but I seem to be looking in the wrong areas. Saying I consider myself a black sheep when it comes to platonic relationships or friendships would do disservice to the metaphor. And by friends: as a busy adult… yes I mean people I can text daily. [meaning using that device in your pocket that every human being on earth now has] God forbid an adult male has meaningful friendships in his adult life. Appreciate any insights anyone has. Thank you. submitted by /u/PalpitationKind8854
