I’m 43 with a self-made wealth/career and beautiful wife & kids. But boy I’m telling you, there’s always a lingering grief and loss that follows you your entire life. I always feel like I’m behind with other men my age. I always feel like no one got my back. I always feel like if something bad would happen, I would not know where to get strength. There’s always emptiness or void that I don’t know what could fill in. I excessively love and pay attention to my kids needs because it’s rooted from deep within. And then I still panic quietly in the middle of night thinking I’m still not doing enough! Currently looking at options for therapy to heal the wounded boy inside me. submitted by /u/jakeglenham
