I recently had my birthday and came to the realisation that I spend all of my days coped up inside of my room, either working, sleeping, wanking or studying. I work as a software engineer in the UK and live a very isolated life, in an attempt to not feel left behind, I’ve been trying to tick off all the things I think need checking off as an adult. Getting my citizenship, learning to swim, studying A level maths 6 hours a week, and lifting weights 4x a week. I’ll then need to find a way to get my driver’s licence next year somehow. I find very little time for myself at the end of the week and I’m constantly rushing, and when I’m not rushing, I’m too tired to try new things. For people who spent all of their early 20s grinding, did you regret it? I’d obviously like to date but don’t want to spend the little time I have trying to entertain someone who may not even appreciate my time and effort. submitted by /u/toxic_water007
