Do you have insane input lag on a beast of a desktop - even on a 2nd device - but a not an old sh*tty device that only just installed Claude? It turns out Claude does not respect the “Disabled” MCP option! Even if you have a MCP disabled, Claude will constantly try to reconnect it if connected - over and over - on an infinite loop with no timeout ( coded and reviewed like a gd jr amateur ). Claude needs to respect disabled and not touch or check anything if it’s disabled - no need to reconnect if it’s disabled or even ask This bug affected me for months - I want to add a quick “I hate you” shout out for ME figuring it out and not Anthropic while my $100 sub burns fumes. Interestingly enough, I don’t think this bug happens on macs - just Windows and wsl terminals. submitted by /u/Deep_Firefighter_500
