I (21F) have a really good guy friend (23M). We’ve been friends for years and I really do care about him but as a friend and nothing more. For the last few months it’s been super obvious that he likes me and I’ve been dodging everything hoping he’ll lose feelings, but they’re only getting more amplified (ie trying to go on a date, his friends telling me and my friends he’s “in love” with me). He doesn’t know I know, but I’m starting to feel bad about it because I’ll never reciprocate and I want him to move on. As a man, would you rather I be upfront about this before you admit it to me so you can move on, or is it better to say nothing and only address the elephant in the room if he says something. I just don’t wanna hurt him or lose him as a friend but I want him to be happy and it’s not with me. submitted by /u/VehicleMajor4015
