It’s hard to reject and even harder to be rejected which is why sometimes women resort to not replying, hinting, avoiding, lying, etc. Personally, as I got older, I prefer to be direct to avoid leading anyone on. Direct doesn’t mean rude, it just means we’re clear on where we both stand and no one’s time is wasted.
