It sure does seem like a few companies are rushing to implement AI, esp. for customer support. They can claim it’s cutting costs (but let’s see if they release their AI token spend too), but they don’t seem to have metrics about customer issue resolution or satisfaction. How could the AI system above record this interaction and feed it back into any system that would be measuring its effectiveness? How could Paypal (and similar companies) implement this AI customer support better? How could we get these problems to the attention of actual Product Managers at these companies, as it’s their primary job to steer their products properly.
