Hey people- I have a question and/or need help. I’ve used Claude code extensively with reorganising komplex excel worksheets. (Nice experience). I want to use it even more and start organising excel spreadsheets with sensible (company& finance) data. Am I on the right track if I want to use Claude code locally for that? I just want to give Claude specific permission in working in certain files/folders. Is running Claude code locally the right solution for that? Thing is, I’m not a dev/ nor have I huge coding experience. I’m just interested, and so far everything has worked out. But I’m definitely unsure if I’m on the right track here. There is no local version of Claude. At least not available to the public, though even if it was, I doubt consumer GPUs could handle it very well, other than maybe at the high end, but I’m guessing it’s set up to be distributed for cache efficiency.
