I’d like to preface this by saying that I absolutely love our developers. They are some of the most passionate and personable devs I’ve seen in any game, and they’re a big reason why I still play. I have several accounts, one of which was a GIM (Gim Dong Un) that was closing in on GM. I managed to obtain two megas, Blorva, Radiant Oathplate, Infernal Cape, Quiver, and much more. My account was recently flagged for macroing, which forced me to go down the Jagex Support rabbit hole in an attempt to resolve the false accusation. I have never installed any unauthorized third-party software, RWTed, bought services, or broken any rules laid out by Jagex. I have strictly played on Runelite for the duration of the account. The last thing I was doing on my account was using Google Remote Desktop to AFK Bloodwood sap when it first came out. I’ve used Remote Desktop for things like fletching darts, utilizing RuneLite plugins on mobile, and extended AFK timers (before the mobile AFK timer was introduced). For both of my appeals, I received what appeared to be automatic response consisting of generic AI-generated replies, permanently removing my account from the game. This left a very bad taste in my mouth, especially considering the amount of time and dedication I had put into the account. I tried reaching out to Support several times. Every interaction was exactly the same. I would request assistance with my account, and they would link me to the page to appeal an offence. I explained that I had already submitted an appeal, at which point they would tell me they could no longer discuss the matter and close the chat. Having no other options, I started reaching out to dozens of J-Mods on multiple platforms (X, Reddit, and Discord) in an attempt to get an explanation and work together to resolve the issue. It has now been almost a month of unsuccessful attempts to get any sort of resolution. I completely understand that JMods are extremely busy supporting such a large player base while also handling their regular responsibilities. I don’t blame individual JMods for not being able to respond to me. However, I do think there needs to be a better system in place to prevent situations like this from happening. I know that Reddit tends to look down on posts like this, but at this point, there is quite literally no other avenue left for me to pursue. I’m posting this in the hope that someone who has experienced something similar can share their experience, or perhaps someone from Jagex can shed some light on how these situations are supposed to be handled. I love this game and have invested an enormous amount of time into it. I’m not asking for special treatment.
