Lately I’ve been feeling like life just isn’t that exciting anymore. Work is okay, personal life is okay, but everything feels kind of… mid. My kids are genuinely the best part of my life and make me really happy, but at the same time, marriage, responsibilities, finances, and everyday life seem to have made everything more complicated. Money doesn’t seem to automatically bring happiness or respect. Work isn’t exciting anymore either. I’m not feeling motivated to learn new things or even figure out what I actually want to do next. On top of that, I’ve been getting out of shape and losing interest in things I used to care about. It’s not that my life is terrible. That’s almost what makes it harder to explain. Nothing is really wrong, but I’m also not excited about where my life is going. For people who have gone through this phase, what actually helped you get your curiosity, ambition, excitement, or sense of purpose back? I don’t want generic “work harder” or “make more money” advice. I’m genuinely curious about what changed things for people. submitted by /u/Dragon__D
