This guy at work keeps talking about “RuneScape” and I don’t know how to get him to stop. At first, I smiled and listened but he kept going on, so I tried to hint that I’m not the right person to talk to by telling him that my friend actually does play the game. Dreading having to go through it again tomorrow, I messaged him on Slack asking if I could chat for a minute. I said something along the lines of: “I don’t know how to say this without sounding inappropriate, but do you have a neurodevelopmental disorder? After listening to you blab on all day about ‘world-hopping to bulk-buy eyes of newt’ and ‘how easy bronzemen will have it’, it’s the only thing that makes sense”. He made the most awkward face I’ve ever seen, I don’t think I’ve ever been so uncomfortable. He didn’t even say anything, just walked out while typing on his phone. Should I still go in tomorrow?
