I honestly don’t buy the whole “purely platonic best friends” thing. Group friends or coworkers? Sure. But deep 1 on 1 best friends? It feels like one person is almost always secretly attracted, holding out hope, or waiting for an opening. If you claim to have a female best friend with zero tension… how are you so sure?
