I recently got into reading and I realize that the library near me is sorely lacking and I have no bookstores within walking distance. The closest one is over an hour walk away and I don’t own a car ( the road congestion there is also unforgiving). There also aren’t any clothing stores or other normal things one would associate with a complete neighborhood. What’s really missing is a Trader Joes or Aldis. They make every community more vibrant. There’s a cool bodega with good prices. The guy behind the counter calls me boss. There’s also a nice cafe where people like to idle, but it’s too small for the local demand. I guess I’d like to hear about what neighborhoods are lacking. It’s nice to idealize sometimes, think about how things can be improved, so list away. What’s something you’d like to have within walking distance (20 minutes or less by foot)? submitted by /u/Crazed_waffle_party
