I’m a reserved and introverted man by nature, and I’ve been friends with an amazing girl for more than 10 years. She’s someone I genuinely care about, and our friendship means a lot to me. However, I’ve always seen her strictly as a friend. I don’t have romantic feelings for her, and lately I’ve started to feel that she may have developed feelings for me. I could be misreading the situation, but there have been things that make me wonder whether she’s now hoping that I feel the same way. The difficult part is that I don’t think I’m capable of offering the kind of emotional attachment or romantic relationship she might be looking for. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with her it’s just I’m not interested in the whole concept of relationship and I don’t want to pretend otherwise just because I’m afraid of hurting her or losing the friendship. At the same time, after more than 10 years of friendship, I really don’t want to handle this carelessly or make her feel rejected or embarrassed. So, how should I approach this situation? submitted by /u/Reserved-guy6092
