Turns out it’s not just the elderly who are at risk due to high indoors temperatures. [Disclaimer: Idc that it’s the umpteenth post about heat and AC, if you’re tired of them, just scroll past] According to Health Canada’s June 2026 report, ‘the risk of heat-related illness increases progressively for all populations as indoor temperatures rise above 26°C.’ Also, when people say ‘27-28°C indoors is safe because it’s not 30°C,’ that’s actually not true. The risk isn’t binary, it increases as temperature rise.
