I don’t know who needs to hear this or be reminded about this, but it feels like many of you do. It feels like many people have the facts twisted inside their minds, so that they think that ironman mode is the intended way to play OSRS. No it isn’t. Ironman mode is a challenge mode. It’s a harder mode for hardcore gamers who want to do every single grind from tutorial island to max cape island, from Lumby chickens to having the Zuk helm all by theirself. Through every drystreak, through every burn out. Complete the whole MMO all alone (minus a handful of forced group tasks). Non-restricted account (AKA “main”) is the intended, common way to play the game. Just like papa Jagex originally intended it. So it’s been since the beginning of RSC, so it is still today. The normal loot and the gp you get from PvM and other grinds outside of the rares is the dry protection. Just wanted to put this out there because I’ve read conversations where people are talking like “bronzeman is good, so new players don’t have to make ironman because it’s so tough for new players”. New players should play the non-restricted account, unless they are some hardcore gamer who usually start a new game by going for the harder challenge mode first to learn the game. submitted by /u/og_obelix
