I’ve been living with a friend and his girlfriend (now fiance) for close to 4 years now. I’m really introverted so most of the time I’m in my room doing my own thing, but I do still chat with my roommates and invite them to things when I go out. It’s never felt awkward or tense between us, just casual. Now me and my roommate aren’t like best buds, but we have been friends for several years and we have a lot of the same interests. We’ve never really had arguments or anything, and we have a really smooth roommate dynamic. We never argue about chores or bills, it’s just taken care of and if someone needs to be called out on something (like hey the trash is getting full and it’s your turn), it’s handled maturely. In the months leading up to their wedding, I figured at some point I would be told about the bachelor trip, but the conversation never came up. I slowly started to realize that I wasn’t going to be invited. We’ve still been hanging out and playing magic the gathering together, but I haven’t brought up the bachelor trip because it just seems like a very uncomfortable thing to bring up. Like hey man, thought we were friends, why am I not one of your groomsmen? submitted by /u/Zelnz
