Something I’ve noticed cutting across many threads here are questions about life and manhood that I learned the answers to from the older men around me when I was growing up - father, grandfathers, uncles, coaches, teachers, etc. Sometimes those lessons were intentionally given; most times they just came from my observing them. I’m not old, but I am definitely middle aged. So my youth was much different than a boy’s/young man’s today. These questions make me curious about whether younger guys are lacking role models, supplementing them with social media, or are replacing them with social media. I recognize that this might come off judgmental. I really am just curious and want to learn. submitted by /u/StopChangingThings
