When I played baseball, I discovered that there was what we called a “slaughter” rule. If the score was 10(+) to 0 after the end of the 4th inning, the game was called. We played a team from a much bigger town and all of the players seemed like they were three or four years older than us. Their pitcher was insanely good and we just couldn’t get a hit. Meanwhile, they were just hitting absolute bombs. We were simply out classed. At the end of the 4th inning, they were up by at least 10, and we were scoreless. The league rep came out and explained the rule and that the game was over, handing our opponents the W. submitted by /u/krzysztofgetthewings
