Every time I use Cloud Code, it tells me there are still issues to address or that I need to make a decision on a certain point, but it remains very vague. And the problem is that when I tell him he needs to explain, he says, “Oh, my wording was wrong,” or “I was wrong about that,” or “I didn’t express myself clearly.” And honestly, it’s annoying because every time, I have to go back and forth with it at least three times just to try to understand what it’s telling me. He isn’t straightforward in what he says, and most importantly, he doesn’t explain at all what he’s doing or what he’s saying. And even though I’ve configured everything the hooks, the CLAUDE.md file, etc… well, he’s not actually following my instructions, and it’s starting to get on my nerves. And yet I’d already reset the entire memory and cache by deleting everything and starting from scratch, but I feel like nothing’s changed. For example, I created a hook that tells him: every time you use an SDK or a library, you’ll get the documentation, and if you run into an error and have to think about it for more than one iteration, you’ll look up the documentation online. But in reality, these instructions are never enough. The hook doesn’t work. It doesn’t follow the instructions in the claude.md file. Every time, I have to tell it, “Explain it to me simply and without jargon so I can understand where you’re going with this.” What have you guys been doing lately to improve Claude’s responses? I find that Codex is much more straightforward. It explains things well, tells you which file has a problem, and uses bulleted lists. In short, I’d like to get the same result but with the other one. How do I do that? And please, don’t start trolling in the comments, comment constructive responses. Thank you submitted by /u/Besmaah
