Background - we live together. He helps around the house, helps with bills, is very supportive of me and shows that he cares about me. Has always been adamant that he does not like kids but I have a 2 year old daughter and he has grown to build a relationship with her, he helps with her occasionally, plays around with her and she loves him. We’ve been seeing each other for just over a year now and have been living together for 6 months. However, he says he’s still not ready for a relationship. He admits to seeing/speaking to other people and I’m aware that he has been intimate with other people. He tells me that I’m the best woman he’s ever met and I’m everything he would want in a partner. I’ve met his entire family and am very close with his mother. But he’s just not ready to commit. He says he’s not ready to figure his life out with the addition of another person at the moment but he doesn’t want to lose me. Men, am I fooling myself here? submitted by /u/xeniavli
