I no longer enjoy selling on Ricardo. The issue is not that my items don’t sell, but that I consistently receive very aggressive discount requests on products that are already fairly priced according to their brand and condition. For example, when I list a dress in very good condition with a retail price of 250 CHF for 30 CHF, I receive messages asking if I would accept 15 CHF. Requesting 40–50% discounts on items that are already reasonably priced feels less like negotiation and more like extreme bargain hunting. Considering that I also pay a 12% commission to Ricardo on every sale, selling on the platform has simply lost its appeal for me. Buyers often complain that prices are too high, but in my opinion, this excessive push for extremely low prices is what ultimately drives away sellers who price their items fairly. submitted by /u/Dangerous_Series2693
