I’m a married men, for 3 years. My wife, for some reason, completely lost respect and affection for me, sometimes i even think she despises me. I never did anything in particular to her, in the beginning we would talk a lot and i would always try to adapt things, try to make living together doable. I changed a lot for her, and i also do a lot of things FOR her, always trying to make her life easier (that could be the reason why she started despising me, i imagine). I’ve tried talking a lot of times, nothing changes. She’ll do things that she knows i absolutely hate, and if i ever bring it up she’ll make it about something bad i did one day, no discussion is possible anymore. So i’ve been thinking of divorce for a while, but damn it’s difficult to go through it. The brain keeps bringing the good moments (that are clearly way past us), i don’t know if it’s hope deep down, but rationally i know it’s all gone and that stops me from going forward. I’m stopped in time, it’s a miserable life. How do you get the courage? submitted by /u/TooMuchDread
