Business traveler, here: I’ve been having a major problem for several months now affecting both my business Swisscom contract and private Wingo contract: in Germany, I get extremely poor data speeds on my laptop via my hotspot on any network. All the years before it was no issue. Downloading software packages or anything else with incredible speed. Now It seems artificially limited; loading emails, sending pictures via Teams, or browsing websites works fine, but as soon as I need to download anything, it stops after 1-3 MB and drops to 1-2 kB/s, and downloads are then displayed as taking several days. TeamViewer sessions also impossible. Doesn’t this look artificial to prevent people from producing huge roaming costs? though the business package has 40 gigs and the private one has 30 gigs included. Anybody else noticed this too? Update: why I didn’t check it earlier, I don’t know, but the TTL suggestion showed an idea: I’ll either activate the business, home or public VPN in the phone and see what happens next time. unfortunately it will take few days) submitted by /u/MartiniusCH
