My apartment doesn’t have a bin, so we set our trash on the street by the fence. The apartments across the street have two metal trash containers on the street. I’ve always assumed I’m not allowed to put my trash in there, but one time I had a trash bag and my dad (Swiss born and raised) took it when we left and put it in the apartment buildings container. He said trash is trash- it’s not a big deal. But he’s pretty laidback for a Swiss lol so I don’t know if he’s right or not and I don’t want to get in trouble ^^; Am I allowed to toss my bags in there? Maybe not ALWAYS, but is it allowed, or is it illegal? Canton Zurich if that helps. Edit: thanks everyone for the insight!
