I grew up fat and ugly, and a minority in a white country. I never had interest shown in me growing up, and I went to the military after graduating high school for a couple of years. I then started uni at 20, finished last year, and I’m 23 now, never even kissed a woman. I’ve asked out a few women in that time frame but no hooks - these were acquaintances, so I wasn’t asking out randoms, but I wasn’t asking out good friends either. I’d like to think I’m a good looking guy now, I’ve had a glow up, I’ve lost weight, I go to the gym, good fashion sense etc. My best mates are real with me, and they now they say I’m handsome, especially compared to before. My issue is meeting new people and “getting more reps in”, so to speak, but tbh I’ll admit that I have a weird personality and while I can pretend to like people and be interested in them when I first meet them, it’s exhausting for me to keep it up long-term if I don’t actually like them. I’m not the most social guy, I’ll admit that. I also can’t get attracted to women unless I kinda know them. All this combined I’m kinda done with trying to date people, I’ve missed my biggest chances in high school and uni, and I don’t think I’ll meet anyone new through work or my hobbies. I get pretty jealous of seeing my friends in relationships/picking up women easily, and I want to just accept my life for what it is without feeling any particular way towards women I’m attracted to. Any advice? submitted by /u/blickt42
