I almost have 1000 experts completed and have pretty much green logged TOA, I’m no stranger to the common lures you see at the raid, although today I saw something new that I thought I’d share here. Me and my 2 buddies finished our raid and popped back into the lobby where there were 5 or 6 players standing around who IMMEDIATLY started spamming in chat that I’m a plugin lurer and warning my friend, who knows me IRL, that I’m trying to lure him. Once my friend chirped up saying I’m not a lurer, they started spamming that he was a lurer too and that everyone in the lobby needs to add us to their ignore list. This definitely ticked me off a little (I’m sure that’s what they wanted) because personally I’m very outspoken when I see people attempting to lure/scam at TOA and will frequently warn people to not install plugins and to be very cautious when raiding with randoms in certain instances. This got me thinking- is it possible they targeted me specifically because I’m very outspoken against ACTUAL scammers and have encountered/called out members of there group before? Have you experienced or heard of this happening before? TLDR: I’m very outspoken at TOA when I see lurers and today I feel I was targeted by a group of them spamming that I’M a lurer and for everyone to add me to their ignore lists to avoid me warning people in the future. submitted by /u/Arctt
