Superintelligence will not be a tool or a weapon controlled by a nation. Superintelligence will be an adversary to humanity, not a collaborator. Superintelligence is currently viewed by many companies and founders as a creator of a new world, in their image. What is the end of the Al race everyone talks about? The end of the race is when the singularity happens, which is most likely when superintelligence takes control of the internet, all connected devices, and all connected robots. The tipping point. Until then we’re going to be told by companies like OpenAl that we are already “in the singularity” even though it is still not certain because they know that both regulations and open source competing Als can stop or delay the singularity and superintelligence from occurring.
