I think it’s funny how well this works for claude. This feels like a vibe coding trick but i have been professionally coding since like 2001. Please don’t read too much into this trick, it’s just a silly trick but it evidently seems to work. Remember how in short circuit j5 was obsessed with new data? Well I have found that getting claude to definitively complete a task is rough. Endless (sometimes totally useless) red team 215/216 scores on its own tests. If you casually mention you have a huge mind blowing md file to share when the work is done, BUT GO BACK TO WORKING WITH IT… it’s like claude shifts to framing work around completion all of a sudden. It’s like the dangling carrot that really works for me. I won’t pretend that claude really gets you to 216/216 when it says it does but when I look over the work done in shorter sessions using that trick, I can get better results faster. Dont expect it to do anything more than shift a stalling claude temporarily into a rush to finish faster “lazy dev” version.
