I’ve been playing with graphics programming recently and doing some procedural noise generation. Playing with things like Perlin noise and Worley noise really makes me wonder if we will see less of these small, ingenious ideas with the rise of LLM programming. Yes, LLMs are incredibly good at solving complex, known problems but it does make me wonder if we will see a decline of the “simple” almost obvious seeming once you know the mechanics ideas that so much programming hinges on. Something about these small but powerful programming ideas feel very human to me, in a way that I’ve yet to see an LLM operate. submitted by /u/FrostingDizzy1132
