With all the talk of AI coming for developers jobs does anyone feel that since the massive improvements in 2025 that the tool has plateaued? It still makes mistakes, can’t be completely trusted and a human certainly always needs to be in the loop? also , sure features can be produced more quickly , but the bottleneck now is the review process which you still need humans for. I work for a company with a large monorepo. Pre AI you would search for a component to save you having to write it, but was reviewing a PR last week, and noticed someone introduced some functionality that must have existed before. When I did a search of the repo I noticed that we already had 3 components doing the same thing, but clause had replicated this. We have all the CLAUDE.MD rules but guess as monorrpo is so big it missed it. do we think another breakthrough is going to come soon? submitted by /u/AffectionateDuty6062
