Ok. So let me preface this by saying I accept my loss. Despite not understanding how it happened, I accept it. That being said. Id like to truly understand how someone with 2FA and a Jagex account gets hacked? I get an email saying there’s suspicious log in activity from the UK, thinking I have a Jagex account and 2FA w/ bank pin I should be set. I don’t use any weird computers or anything. Just my personal laptop and my phone. I don’t log into weird websites and put in my OSRS info. I log in, and suddenly I’m at the GE, Max Treads, DHL, Lightbearer, Tassies, Serp Helm, ferrocious gloves and everything in my rune pouch. Gone. Give or take ~400m. Again. I accept that this took place. I accept that I’m SOL and will not get my items back. And understand it couldve been worse. I just really want to understand why Jagex makes such a fuss about all of these protective measures for our account, just for them to allow someone to bypass them anyway. Note: I’ll take my inevitable “sit loser”'s in stride. But as someone who truly only plays OSRS as their main source of video game entertainment, I’m a bit disheveled. submitted by /u/_BL810T
