Why are there so many German migrants pushing German as the only way to integrate in Switzerland and always disconsidering Rumansch, Italian, French as local language? Do you expect with Germany sinking further, to have even more of these neo-Swiss Germans calling for a German Switzerland? I know more than 1 Swiss from the French side that traveled and lived abroad and now came back and keep getting complaints about Germans telling them they need to integrate… What should be the limits of Germans pushing their culture as Swiss? Do Swiss from the German side feel a difference culturally from Germans or it’s just me and friends from the French side that get ticketed off by Germans claiming Germans ess as Swiss? What could be done for Switzerland to withstand German migration without being fully supplanted like the Rumansch did. I mean keeping a tiny bit of land is not good enough. Could getting more people to learn local languages help in swissness? Meaning getting more people to learn Rumansch or getting Germans to have to learn French or Italian help them learn that Switzerland is not about being German? submitted by /u/tojig
