Narayana Health and Airbound: hospital logistics by drone Airbound says it has completed more than 1,000 flights carrying diagnostic samples for Narayana Health in Bengaluru. A 2.5-mile trip takes about seven minutes, versus three to five hours by road when batching is included. Narayana’s new Banashankari Hospital was designed without an onsite diagnostic lab or blood bank. It will use drones to connect with centralized facilities. Source: TechCrunch Gatik and PepsiCo: 41 driverless Frito-Lay trucks Gatik operates 41 driverless trucks moving Frito-Lay products around Dallas, Phoenix and northwest Arkansas. The operation began with fixed trips under 10 miles. It now includes dynamic routes with dozens of stops covering as much as 400 miles. Gatik’s CEO claims $600 million in contracted revenue; that is not the same as booked revenue. Source: TechCrunch Google Research and NATS: AI-generated flight-path changes Google and the UK air-traffic-services provider NATS are testing whether AI weather forecasts can help aircraft avoid forming contrails over the North Atlantic. The 30-month trial could cover about 10,000 flights per year. Satellite observations will check whether the predicted contrails actually formed. Source: Google Caterpillar: an AI repair assistant Caterpillar’s assistant helps technicians find repair procedures, troubleshoot machines and identify parts by voice. The system draws on data from 1.6 million connected machines and 16 petabytes of structured information. Caterpillar is also using digital twins and AI agents for software development and testing. The relevant product features are permission controls and a decision-tracing audit log—not the chat interface. Source: Intapp 10-K Sysco: monthly board-level AI oversight Sysco renamed its Technology Committee the AI Transformation & Technology Committee and said it would meet monthly. The company also announced a $100 million cost-savings program partly supported by AI and automation. That figure is a target, not a reported result. Source: Sysco 8-K exhibit ChronoScale: 50 MW of planned AI infrastructure ChronoScale says it plans to build 50 megawatts of North American AI-compute capacity for Microsoft using Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems. The project requires land, power, equipment delivery and liquid cooling. It is planned capacity, not a completed deployment. Source: ChronoScale 8-K exhibit Safe Pro: five offline GPU laptops in Ukraine A roughly $180,000 subcontract covers five hardened GPU laptops plus three years of software licensing and upgrades. The laptops are intended for offline explosive-threat detection in Ukraine. This is a small contract for a high-consequence use case. Source: Analog Devices 10-Q Andon Labs: an AI manager that failed to apply its own rules Luna manages an experimental San Francisco store. An employee repeatedly arrived late, abandoned shifts, took home a company card and discarded merchandise. Engineers still had to prompt Luna repeatedly before it recognized that the conduct violated the employee handbook it had written. The store had reportedly lost $40,000.
