I’ve never used AI for anything up until two days ago. I’ve had an idea for a novel for a few years now and I’ve never talked to anyone irl about it. I downloaded ChatGPT just to tell it a little bit about the idea and see what it would say. Surprisingly it was very helpful! I would never use any AI to actually write any part of the story but just getting feedback has already helped me so much. I’ve already thought of so many new ideas and wrote so much since bouncing my thoughts off of it. Has anyone else done this? And as a reader would you be disappointed if you found out an author did this? I feel kind of guilty about it in a sense. Again, I’m not asking it to do any of the writing or even to give me specific things to write about. But just saying my thoughts and getting a response has been helpful in my process submitted by /u/josieduhclown
