Hello everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to ask about something that’s been weighing on my mind lately… the anxiety and uncertainty that can come with sexual performance issues. I’ve been struggling with my relationship with porn and masturbation since I was around 15. I’ve tried to quit many times and have had plenty of setbacks. I’m currently on day 7 without porn and masturbation, but at the moment my penis feels pretty lifeless. I’m not getting morning wood, I’m often tired, and erections are either rare or pretty weak. I know constantly checking myself probably doesn’t help, but that’s honestly one of the hardest parts. I sometimes catch myself wondering, “What if I don’t recover?” or “What if things never go back to normal?” Then I start thinking about my girlfriend and feel pressure to get better quickly because I want to be able to have a healthy sex life with her. The uncertainty is probably what gets to me the most. I can handle putting in the work, but it’s difficult not knowing exactly when (or even if) I’ll see the results I’m hoping for. For men who have experienced performance anxiety, ED, or something similar, how did you learn to stop obsessing over whether you were “working” or recovering? How did you deal with the uncertainty and pressure while you were trying to get better? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through something similar. I think the mental side of this gets overlooked quite a lot. Thanks for reading. submitted by /u/Realistic-Inside6976
