What’s something you had to experience for yourself to be able to realise that it was a deal breaker for you? For me it was learning that if I wasn’t okay with something about the relationship it wouldn’t just work itself out and if addressing it was going to end the relationship then it was never going to work. Looking back I was more focused on being in a relationship than being happy and it wasn’t until I had experienced how issues wouldn’t just go away and I was staying in case I would one day be happy if the relationship changed. It was a painful lesson but I couldn’t have accepted it if I didn’t experience it I had to learn that if it wasn’t working it would be worse to be in the relationship than to have it end because a relationship shouldn’t need to change before you’re happy. submitted by /u/No_Effort_Given
