I run a small business producing designed, printer-ready documents. We work primarily in InDesign and have three graphic designers, but production speed has become a bottleneck and is starting to impact the business. I’m exploring whether there are AI tools or agent-style solutions that can help accelerate layout and other repetitive production tasks for print, ideally within or alongside InDesign. Open to adjacent tools if they integrate cleanly with a print workflow. The work is mostly templated and repeatable, and the slowdown is largely in layout production rather than custom creative work. We are not currently using InDesign data merge or scripting. Not looking to replace designers, just reduce manual overhead so the team can keep up with volume.
