This topic is kind of divided among parents because I can see why every new dad wants to post their newborn on Facebook or Instagram. It’s a phenomenal milestone and we’re proud of it but some dads are opposed to exposing their children online like that. I don’t. I have one self hosted site about my kids, for personal use (family and friends), I don’t post my kids to social media, I don’t allow my kids to post to social media, I don’t allow schools and camps and sport clubs to post photos of my kids to social media (unless with my explicit consent)
These pictures are not yours, they are ultimately of your kid and they can not consent yet. Hence you don’t post anything.
