Is an excuse generally preferable? Or a “this was fun, I can drive you back to yours if you want”? Or just getting up and starting my day hoping he gets a hint? I find this period between waking up and saying goodbye very awkward. I’m busy and enjoy a peaceful hour to myself in the mornings. I also don’t keep any breakfast foods in my home so can’t offer that even if I wanted to. Any advice would be helpful! I don’t want to hurt feelings and it’s never personal; I just want to put my headphones on and make myself a coffee in peace. What would be the kindest, politest way to ask a guy to leave?
