I realized I’d been operating for the first 27 years of my life with a deep feeling that I could not be attractive, that as a man I was seen as threatening by default, and that my own attraction was something that would be met with disgust if expressed. Realizing how wrong that was, I’ve become much more expressive, open, friendly, and not so quick to fall into relationships I don’t actually feel passionate about. submitted by /u/Slipguard
