Needless to say I feel alone. And by alone I miss having a companion. I’ve been in the military for 4 years now. Switched branches in pursuit of a more intensive job. I am motivated, excited, obsessed but I think back often on how it felt to have someone in my corner. It felt good. Work and personal hobbies often serve as a nice distraction, nice dose of adrenaline but after it wears off and all is said and done I just feel this intense loneliness. I see all my buddies with girlfriends and stuff and I’m like damn, haha. I do miss having someone. I tried the dating apps and stuff but I end up not really giving it a chance. I hardly go out anymore, it’s just training constantly or doing my hobbies. Some days are easier than most but every night I check my phone in hopes of a text or something. One girl in particular I think about often but we both live far, very far from one another and I think she came to terms with it not being realistic faster than I did. I don’t know, just venting here I guess but I often find that personal goals and dreams are often a lonely journey and you do some how meet people along the way. submitted by /u/Dillpickyle56
