I’m not sure what’s going on here. Seems like the conversation is moved to a different backend server, or something in the prompt caching fails, or whatever, and you have to pay for it. It seems really bad that sometimes close to 20% of my (5x max) 5h usage and corresponding weekly usage are just gone for apparently no reason. Imo a continuous conversation stream should not have these random backend usage spikes where the arrangement costs is offloaded onto the user. It’s also not transparent at all, there’s no warning: “if you type another prompt here, it’s likely going to cost a lot of your usage”. submitted by /u/gleedblanco
