Today, a semi-detached house in our village with a tiny plot of land was listed for almost CHF 3.3 million. The house was built less than 30 years ago and, back then, cost no more than CHF 1.2 million. So, when do you guys think the Swiss real estate bubble is going to burst? My prediction: by the end of 2027 at the latest. Most people I know, including my neighbors, insist there is no bubble. Their argument is that Swiss real estate can basically only keep getting more expensive because land is scarce and there simply aren’t enough homes. Maybe they’re right. But I’m a little skeptical of the whole “this can only go up” argument. One of my neighbors, who used to work in a senior position at Credit Suisse, told me in 2022 that Swiss banks could never fail — and especially not Credit Suisse, because it was “too big to fail.” Well… we all know how that turned out. So what do you think? Are Swiss property prices actually sustainable, or are we looking at a bubble that’s eventually going to pop? submitted by /u/Code-12345
