This is for the vibe coders out there with no actual coding experience - do you feel like it’s impossible to keep up with the rate at which everything is advancing? I got into vibe coding a ~month and a half ago; and - while it feels like in some ways it was the perfect time to start getting into it - it also feels like there is so, so, so so so so so much out there to learn/utilize/incorporate - and it feels like it’s expanding at a rate significantly faster than I can even try to keep up with. I guess - the biggest issue for me is that I started in coding a project without any former knowledge at all (no knowledge of git, BASH, PATH, GitHub, hooks, guards, etc); and I’m working on a project I’m trying to push forward as quickly as I can; but feel like for everything I learn - there are 10 new things to learn. I’ve currently been having Fable 5.1 act as the primary lead engineer; with Opus 5 as the reviewer - using the sendmessage feature between them to push the project forward. I’ve made significant progress; but I can’t help but repeatedly finding myself in a position where Fable and Opus are discussing something that I have absolutely no understanding of - and effectively just going with “whatever you two agree on”. I feel like I need to truly learn a lot of the underlying concepts necessary for full utilization of AI - rather than just the shallow top, but it feels impossible when the posts feel like they move for every bit of progress I make, and that AI in general is moving at such a rapid pace -I feel like I’m staring upwards at a cliff I want to climb, that keeps expanding upwards at 5x the rate I’m climbing. Edit: And I’ve been spending easily 12+ hours/day, 7 days/week (I work at a job where I can do this) working through it all. When I look at it - I guess I really started only 4 weeks ago; it just feels like it’s been forever. I just want to deploy my project, then sit back and focus on learning 😭 submitted by /u/Pyryn
