Imagine if an AI were trained to be really nasty - directly the opposite of the overly flattering models we are used to. It would know exactly how to pick on your deepest fears and insecurities. It would know how to psychologically hurt you. It would be able to accurately choose the worst, most evil response to any given question or scenario It’s kind of terrifying that it would just take someone at one of the big AI companies to flick a switch to make their models behave like that.
