I keep thinking about what happens when making a technically impressive image or video stops being much of an advantage. We’re getting pretty close to that. If almost anyone can generate something that looks good, then the interesting question becomes what people still care about enough to remember. My guess is the value shifts toward things like taste, recognizable identity, characters people actually care about, consistency across a body of work, audience, and ownership. That seems especially relevant for artists and AI creators. Does creative identity become more valuable because production gets cheap? Or less valuable because imitation gets cheap too? I’m curious where people think the durable value moves once generation itself is basically commoditized. submitted by /u/remixeconomy
