AI wants mass adoption → mass adoption requires capable hardware → AI infrastructure itself increases demand for memory/semiconductors → hardware becomes more expensive → consumers delay upgrades → mass adoption becomes harder. I’m not arguing that AI will collapse. I’m asking whether the economics of “AI everywhere, for everyone” actually work if the hardware supply chain can’t expand fast enough without creating another round of inflation. It’s like ai expansion is make it hard and expensive for it’s targeted user to access it. submitted by /u/Demon-llord
