Hi everyone, I’m looking specifically for first-hand experience from non-EU/EFTA nationals who live in Switzerland but are employed in Liechtenstein. I currently live in Zurich with a Swiss B permit and work full-time for a Liechtenstein employer under a Liechtenstein employment contract. I also hold a Liechtenstein G cross-border commuter permit. My current Swiss B was originally obtained through family reunification. I’m now exploring whether it is possible to obtain an independent Swiss B in my own right while keeping the Liechtenstein employment contract . I know that living in Switzerland and commuting to Liechtenstein is common for EU/EFTA nationals, so I’m specifically interested in third-country nationals who have actually done this. If this applies to you: What was the legal basis for your Swiss B permit? If your Liechtenstein employment/employer support you in obtaining the Swiss B? Did you keep a Liechtenstein employment contract? Which canton issued your Swiss B? Did your Liechtenstein employer use an immigration/relocation provider for the Swiss side? I’m not asking about obtaining residence in Liechtenstein . I’m specifically trying to understand how the Swiss residence side works for third-country nationals employed across the border in Liechtenstein.
