I have been working on an artificial life simulator that plays in my desktop background. My philosophy is to build the world from first principles give the organisms enough perception, memory, physical capabilities, and evolutionary freedom to understand and interact with their environment, but never tell them what they should do with those capabilities. Recently, I added sexual reproductive capabilities called packets. I didn’t give the agents a mating strategy. After thousands of generations or more they started to learn how to reproduce successfully over long lineages. It is interesting to watch them … do the deed lol submitted by /u/Maxwell10206
